Open 4 Learning

"Colchester Institute have subscribed to Open 4 Learning for over 2 years and during that time the service that we have received from Idox has been excellent.

We have found Open 4 Learning to be an excellent tool to offer to our students as the search process is comprehensive with all of the organisations that offer student funding being in one place. The beauty of the site is that it is personalised to your organisation (Colchester 4 Learning in our case) and Idox will add information which is specific to your organisation when requested.

We refer students of all ages to our portal, but it is students who are over 19 and on Further Education courses who tend to use it a lot as they are looking for help with tuition fees and living costs. Directing students to the link on our website also saves time in that we are not providing lots of different leaflets that fill up our shelves with a staggering array of information.

A further benefit of Open 4 Learning is that we receive statistic reports on the site usage which provides valuable intelligence for our organisation. The system also conducts an email poll of users for feedback on how valuable they have found the service and the success they have achieved. From feedback received to date students have been successful in obtaining funding from Colchester 4 Learning In some cases from organisations that I had, until now, never heard of.

Finally, as an organisation that holds Matrix accreditation we underwent our reaccreditation a few months back. The assessor was very impressed with the Open 4 Learning website and the publicity that we were giving it through our publications and promotions. In fact it turned out to be a key strength for our service!"
